All of their point and click adventures have great animation and large creative worlds to explore. You are Freddi Fish and your pal is Luther; your goal is to figure out why a sea monster is terrorizing coral cove park. You do this by pointing and clicking objects to solve puzzles and interact with characters until you gather enough information to solve the mystery.I find there's a lot more visual humor than verbal in this Freddi Fish game; a lot of the jokes are told through pictures and character actions than said outloud. The puzzles themselves in this game seem simpler than in previous Humongous Entertainment games, a lot more straigthforward A to B puzzles where you have a very obvious keyhole and your goal is to find a key. While for me this made the game slightly less engaging, i found it made this freddi fish to be the best to introduce the series with. While the puzzles are simple, the world is still quite complicated. There's a lot of fun and quirky characters to meet, all well voice acted and offer some sort of interaction towards helping you save the day.If you ever want to show a friend a great old school point and click, this is a good starting point.. Never beat this when i was younger i dont think, but i played the hell out of it. Just played amd beat in little over an hour without clicking on every little detail. Hmm, so I guess I didn't actually play the entire series previously, as I have no recollection of this one at all. Was that good or bad, though?Well, this one's much more like a traditional adventure game; instead of collecting macguffins to do one specific thing it's more one main quest and lots of subquests. It's also longer than the rest of the series, though also a bit slow-paced; there are a lot of screen transitions, enough that I started skipping them halfway into the game.I think that's the main problem; the hub town area is a long string of screens that would've been more effective as one large map with all the submaps attached to it. The randomization here is also not much more than the level of the last game; a few more puzzles change than last time but it's still much more linear than the second or third games were. All in all though still pretty solid, though not the best in the series (maybe because of my nostalgia bias for the ones I had played as a kid.). The best sanity test I have ever played.. I love this game so much thank you for letting me play it again <3. When I was little I got a bunch of these Freddi Fish cds, and I had played them for what must have been hours on our computer.
